Sales Module Settings Possibility To Select Trip Typefor The Trips Booked From Requests Quotes
Default booking trip type in Sales

The Default booking trip type option is located in the Admin Panel > General Settings > ‘Sales module’ tab > ‘Quote settings’ subsection.
The ‘Default booking trip type’ allows selecting the default trip type for trips booked through the Sales module.
The default value is set to “Based on aircraft configuration”.
If a different trip type is selected in the settings, then that selected trip type will be applied when a given quotation is booked as confirmed or as an option.
This applies to all requests, regardless of where they are created.
The priority order is as follows:
Requester
Sales module setting
Aircraft
Operator setting
Below, are two examples with the default trip type application.
EXAMPLE 1
The following trip types are selected:
Requester - Airheaven - ‘Based on configuration’
Sales module setting - set to ‘Frequent flyer’
Aircraft - D-LEON - set to ‘PAX Charter’
Operator setting - default type set to PAX Charter
As per the screenshot on the right, the trip is booked as a ‘Frequent Flyer’ type. Since the Requester was set to ‘Based on configuration’ option, Sales module took the type from the ‘Sales module settings’ as it was next in line.
EXAMPLE 2
The following trip types are selected:
Requester - Airheaven - set to ‘Flight for owner’
Sales module setting - set to ‘Frequent flyer’
Aircraft - D-LEON - set to ‘PAX Charter’
Operator setting - default type set to PAX Charter
As per the screenshot on the right, the trip is booked as a ‘Flight for owner’ type. Since the Requester was set to ‘Flight for owner’ option, the Sales module took the type from the ‘Requester’ as it was first in line.
