Updated Certificate Revalidation and Expiry Policy

Modifying the expiry date of a certificate by changing its issue date in the certificate edit window will no longer work automatically. Instead, revalidating a certificate will only be possible through the dedicated revalidation function. Additionally, when a certificate is issued for the first time, its expiry date will be set according to the document’s revalidation policy.

A title, “Revalidate,” has been added to the icon associated with this feature to make its purpose clear. It is now also possible to revalidate a certificate that has not yet been issued; in such a case, the initial expiry date will also be set according to the certificate revalidation policy.
