Scope - Aircraft Maintenance

Scope - Aircraft Maintenance

Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance scope covers maintenance entries, scheduled checks, and squawks logged against aircraft in the system. Each record represents a maintenance event — such as a scheduled inspection, an unscheduled repair, or an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situation — along with its associated aircraft, location, timing, and operational limits.

Operators use this scope to track and report on the maintenance history of their fleet: when aircraft were taken out of service, what work was performed, which supplier or maintenance facility was involved, and what the associated costs were. It is particularly useful for compliance reporting, maintenance planning, and fleet availability analysis.

What reports can you build with this scope?

Examples of typical reports operators build with this scope:

  • Maintenance history by aircraft — a chronological list of all maintenance events per aircraft, including type, dates, and status

  • AOG events report — filtered list of Aircraft on Ground occurrences with duration and airport location

  • Upcoming maintenance by date or limit — entries approaching their TAH, TAC, or calendar date limits

  • Maintenance cost summary — total costs per aircraft or supplier over a selected period

  • Confirmed vs. unconfirmed maintenance entries — overview of maintenance events by confirmation status and tags
