Scope - Airport Recency
Overview
The Airport Recency scope covers crew recency records related to airport operations. Specifically, it tracks whether individual crew members meet the minimum landing or takeoff recency requirements for particular airports — a critical element of regulatory compliance in aviation. Recency requirements mandate that crew members have performed a minimum number of approaches, landings, or takeoffs at a given airport (or airport type) within a defined time window.
Operators use this scope to monitor and report on crew recency status across their network of destinations. It is particularly valuable for identifying crew members whose recency at specific airports has expired or is about to expire, ensuring that only qualified crew are rostered for affected routes.
What reports can you build with this scope?
Examples of typical reports operators build with this scope:
Airport recency expiry report — List of crew members whose recency at specific airports has expired or is expiring within a given period
Crew qualification check by airport — Overview of which crew members currently hold valid recency for a given destination
Recency history by crew member — Full recency record for individual crew members across all tracked airports
Upcoming recency renewals — Crew members whose recency endorsements need renewal in the coming weeks or months
Recency status by endorsement type — Breakdown of recency records filtered by type of airport endorsement (e.g. specific runway categories or special procedures)
